Заявление Независимого студенческого профсоюза “Прямое действие”
С первых дней протестов мы, активисты Независимого студенческого профсоюза “Прямое действие”, выходили на Майдан. Не имея иллюзий о “европейском чуде” и регулярно конфликтуя с уличными нацистами, мы пытались утвердить идеи профсоюзной борьбы, низовой самоорганизации, гендерного и социального равенства . С самого начала мы осознавали, что это не наша революция, но события последних 10 дней многое изменили, и сегодня, в День студента, мы хотим опубликовать свою позицию.
Да, сегодня на киевских баррикадах не создаётся новое общество, но именно там защищаются существующие свободы . Именно там решается, законсервируется ли режим олигархов, будем ли мы жить в полицейском государстве и будет ли возможен социальный протест как таковой. Ведь завтра экстремистом может оказаться каждый, кто будет критиковать систему образования или ставить под сомнение решения администрации своего ВУЗа. Поэтому единственная возможность изменений, которую мы видим перед собой – участие в протестах, и мы призываем всех присоединяться к борьбе .
Кроме того, в условиях протеста люди начали самоорганизовываться в инициативы по типу дежурства в больницах и судах, безлидерных структур – и мы активно принимаем в них участие, можем многим поделиться. Мы давно боролись за то, чтобы люди научились принимать решения самостоятельно и выполнять их добровольно . Мы сделаем всё, чтобы навыки самоорганизации, приобретённые протестующими сейчас, и дальше применялись в борьбе .
Мы принципиально не поддерживаем ни одну политическую силу . Оппозиция, как и власть, не имеет ничего общего с интересами народа. Но даже придя к власти, они не смогут поддерживать нынешнюю авторитарную модель, и будут вынуждены смягчить режим. Если этого не произойдёт – мы будем первыми, кто выйдет на борьбу с ними.
Как известно, активную роль в сегодняшних протестах играют ультраправые группы, ставшие важной частью боевого крыла сопротивления. Но для нас это не является поводом отстраниться, а напротив – причина активнее вливаться, прилагать максимум усилий для утверждения гуманистического и демократического характера движения . Если сейчас мы будем стоять в стороне, правый консенсус в обществе только усугубится – независимо от того, победит революция или нет.
Нашу борьбу в данных условиях мы видим на всех фронтах. И чем их будет больше – тем лучше. Мы приветствуем все формы протеста и принимаем в них участие : от дежурства в больницах до возведения баррикад, от оккупации университетов до активного сопротивления! Поэтому если вы всё ещё не знаете, чем помочь – присоединяйтесь, работы хватит на всех.
Если ещё вчера у нас были сомнения – то сегодня их нет. Это всё ещё не та революция, к которой мы стремимся, но все на баррикады!
The Statement of the Independent student union “Direct Action”
With the first days of the protests, we – the activists of the Independent student union “Direct Action” – were going out to the streets and protesting. Having no illusions on the “European miracle” and regularly confronting with the street nazism, we were trying to stand for the idea of trade union protests, grassroots self-organization, gender and social equality . Though, from the early start on, we had realized it was not our revolution – today, on the Students’ Day, we want to declare our stance.
Yes, today – a new society is not being formed on the barricades in Kyiv, but there – basic human freedoms and rights are being protected . There, on the barricades, it is a matter of whether the oligarchs keep on cementing their regime, and whether we are truly entering the police state where any form of social protests is not possible per se. Tomorrow everyone might be called an extremist – everyone who goes out on the street and fights for better schools and hospitals. Therefore, the only way to change the situation – as we see it now – is to participate in the protests, and call for everyone to join the resistance .
In the times of the resistance people have started to organize themselves into various initiative groups. We have experience in coordinating the horizontal, leader-less structures – we can participate in creating the new ones and share the experience. For a long time, we have been fighting for people to learn to make their own decisions and execute them voluntarily . We do everything possible for the self-organization skills that are gained by protestors now to be used in a future fight .
We do not support any of the current political forces . The opposition has as much in common with the protestors as the current governors. But even when the opposition gains power and control, it will not be able to go on with the current authoritarian model of the state – they will be obliged to soften the regime. If not – we will be the first one to fight against them.
It is known that the far right parties are actively participating in the protests. They have become an important part of the resistance movement. But now we do not see this as a reason to withdraw, instead – it is a high time to be more active, to make a maximum effort to declare a humanistic and democratic resistance movement . If we stay away now, the far right wing will grow even more in size and popularity – independently of whether the revolution takes place indeed or not.
As we see now – our fight should continue on all fronts. More fronts – the better. We welcome all forms of resistance and participate ourselves : we are working in hospitals, fortifying barricades, occupying universities and actively protesting. If you still do not know what to do – join, we have got lots of work.
We were hesitant yesterday – but we are not today. It might not be the revolution we strive for, but we call for everyone to join the barricades.
